2 piece blackened brass & silver helmet plate as worn between 1953 & 1964.

The blackened plate was discontinued in 1964 when the force adopted the Coxcombe helmet.

Force History: Established 6 April 1891 - 1 April 1943 Became part of Sussex Combined. Reformed 1 April 1947 - 1 January 1968 Became part of Sussex Constabulary
